Revenge In The Snowstorm: I Freeze Them All

Synopsis

On our Thanksgiving drive home, my sister-in-law, Karen Johnson, suddenly pulled out a small travel cooker and a can of soup, announcing she’d warm it up right there in the car. “That’s what the outlet in an EV is for,” she said casually. “What’s the point of owning one if you can’t heat food on the road?”

My boyfriend, who was driving, didn’t object. In fact, he smiled and helped her pour the water.

In my previous life, I had stopped it immediately. I warned them the battery was already low and that wasting power could leave us stranded before we made it home. Instead of listening, everyone in the car turned on me.

To them, I was cold and selfish—the kind of woman who would deny a child a warm meal. My boyfriend accused me of meddling in something that wasn’t my concern.
