Synopsis
My husband’s half-sister nearly killed our daughter—but instead of defending us, my husband sued me.
“Make a statement,” Maynard demanded coldly. “Tell everyone you were the one who hurt Gia. Say Lynnie was trying to stop you. If you don’t, you’ll go to jail.”
I stared at him in disbelief. “Are you insane? She almost killed Gia!”
“Why do you always make everything so dramatic?” he replied, his voice steady and serious. “I’ve told you countless times—Lynnie is sick. She can’t control herself. Now that you sent Gia to the hospital, everyone knows about it. This will only make her condition worse.”
But her illness wasn’t real. I tried to argue.
He cut me off with chilling calm. “If you refuse, I’ll stop paying for Gia’s medication.”
To protect my daughter, I had no choice but to take the blame. Online, strangers tore me apart with vicious comments, condemning me as an abusive mother. I endured it all in silence, pretending nothing had happened.
But I was already planning something else.
Another livestream.
And this time, I would make sure Lynnie would never get the chance to hurt my daughter again.
