Synopsis
Serena Voss had descended from headquarters to take over as the new director of NY1 Television. As the daughter of the Silvermoon Pack’s second-in-command, she’d wasted no time forcing out the station’s most legendary—and most profitable—lead anchor. The entire pack was buzzing about it.
Now she was standing in front of me.
She said she wanted to sell some jewelry.
As the owner of a secondhand luxury boutique, it was my job to appraise pieces like hers. But the moment she opened the cases, I knew this wasn’t ordinary consignment.
“These were all custom-made for me by my lover,” she said lightly. “He’s given me so many, I’m honestly tired of them.”
One necklace was a diamond choker set with a thumb-sized pigeon blood ruby—worth at least ten million on its own. Her desk glittered under the weight of extravagant gifts. Even a rare crocodile leather handbag looked like the least impressive item in the pile.
I forced a professional smile.
“Your mate must really love you.”
